DZ20L Series RCBO

1. Scope     of    application                                                                                                                                                               

1.  Purpose

The DZ20L series residual current circuit breaker with overload is suitable for circuits with AC 380V, frequency 50Hz, and rated power supply of 600A and below. It is used for personal electric shock protection and can also be used to prevent equipment insulation damage and fire hazards caused by ground fault currents. And it can be used for overload, short circuit, and under voltage protection of circuits, as well as for infrequent switching of circuits.

At present, there are two types of residual current circuit breakers produced in China:rated residual current of 10-30mA can protect human life, and rated residual current of 100-500mA can be used as insulation protection for grounding current.

2. Applicable scope

a. Surrounding air temperature:The upper limit value shall  not exceed+40℃,  the lower limit value shall not be lower than-5℃, and the average value within 24 hours shall not exceed+35℃.

b. The altitude of  the installation site shall not exceed 2000m.

c. Installation location:The relative humidity of the atmosphere should not exceed 50%when the

surrounding air temperature is +40℃. There can be higher relative humidity at lower temperatures. The average maximum relative humidity in the hottest month is 90%, and the average minimum temperature in that month is +25℃, taking into account the condensation on the product surface caused by temperature  changes.

f. Circuit breakers should generally be installed vertically.

g. The external magnetic field of the installation site of residual current circuit breakers should not exceed 5 times the geomagnetic field in any direction

3. Structure and Working Principle                                                                                        

This series of leakage circuit breakers is a current operated electronic leakage circuit breaker, mainly composed of zero sequence current transformers, electronic component boards, leakage releases, and circuit breakers with overload and short  circuit  protection. All  parts are installed in a plastic casing. When  there is leakage or personal electric shock in the protected circuit, as long as the rated leakage action current reaches the action value, the secondary winding of  the zero sequence current transformer outputs a signal. Amplified by electronic  circuit board. Cut off the power supply through the action of  the leakage release, thereby providing protection against  leakage and electric shock

5. Installment   and use

1. Before  installation, please check whether the voltage, current, frequency, and specifications of the  residual current circuit  breaker are consistent with the protected equipment, and whether the rated residual current meets the requirements for protecting the circuit and  equipment.

2. The protective characteristics of the residual current circuit breaker have been strictly set before leaving the factory. Users are advised not to open the casing and set it arbitrarily to avoid affecting performance, otherwise they will bear all consequences.

3. Leakage circuit breakers must be installed according to regulations. 1, 3, and 5 represent the power supply end, 2, 4, and 6 represent the load end, and N represents the neutral pole;The installation of a four pole residual current circuit breaker must be connected to the neutral wire(N)and phase wire(5)of the short power supply. The installation of a three-level residual current circuit breaker must be connected to the phase wire(1)and phase wire (5)of the power supply for the residual current circuit breaker to function properly.

4. When the residual current circuit breaker leaves the factory, the operating handle is in the free release position(middle position). To open and close, the operating handle should be pulled down to the "open"position first, and the operating mechanism should be  "re released"before the opening and closing operation can be carried out.

5. During the installation and use of residual current circuit breakers, press the "test button"at least once a month to check the   reliability of the circuit breaker. If the "test button" is pressed and the leakage circuit breaker does not operate, it indicates that thee leakage protection function has been lost and should be removed and sent to the manufacturer for repair.

6. After the leakage circuit breaker automatically trips, the cause must be identified and the fault must be eliminated before power can be supplied for use
